The City Secretary serves as the head Election Official for the City of Hillsboro and is responsible for conducting all city elections as prescribed by the Election Code of the State of Texas. Elections are conducted annually on the Uniform Election Day in May (the first Saturday in May). The next Hillsboro City Officer's Election is scheduled to occur on May 3, 2025 for Mayor At-Large, Place 1, Place 3, and Place 5.
