Special City Council Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Hillsboro shall meet in special session on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held at the Historic City Hall, 127 E. Franklin Street in Hillsboro, Texas.  The matters to be discussed and acted upon are as follows:

1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. Hear Statements From Persons Wishing to Address Council.
3. Hold a Public Hearing, Second Reading and Deliberate and Act on an Ordinance Amending the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Budget.
4. Hold a Public Hearing Second Reading, Deliberate and Act on an Ordinance Adopting the Budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024.
5. Hold a Public Hearing, Second Reading, Deliberate and Act on an Ordinance Adopting a Tax Rate for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024.

6. Deliberate and Act to Ratify Adoption of a Tax Rate that Exceeds the No-New-Revenue Tax Rate (NNR) but Does Not Exceed the Voter-Approval Tax Rate (VAR).

7. Adjourn
