Trash/Recycle

On April 1, 2025, the City of Hillsboro partnered with Frontier Waste Solutions to address all needs in regards to residential recycling and trash services, commercial building waste and recycling services, education and outreach, and household hazardous waste safe disposal.

What to Know:
  • Trash is collected once per week.
  • Recycling is collected once every two weeks on the same day as your trash service.
  • Pick-ups will occur between the hours of 7AM-7PM
  • Additional trash or recycle carts can be ordered by calling 254-582-3405.
  • Frontier Waste Solutions observe three holidays a year: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years. If your service falls on a holiday, your service will shift by one day.
  • Bulk/Brush is limited to three (3) cubic yards per collection.
  •  Frontier Waste will collect bulk and brush waste from all residential customers on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Residents must call Frontier Waste in advance at (254) 221-0705 to schedule a pickup before placing their items at the curb.
  • Unaccepted items: household hazardous waste, tires, and commercial debris.
