Planning and Zoning
The City of Hillsboro Community Development Department is responsible for all aspects of land use and planning within the City of Hillsboro. Offices are located in the City Administration Building, 214 East Elm Street.
The Planning & Zoning Commission advises staff regarding development. It makes recommendations to the Council regarding land use, development, and development policy. The Planning & Zoning Commission meets on the 2nd & 4th Monday of each month at Hillsboro Historic City Hall, 127 E. Franklin Street.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment advises staff regarding development and decides on special exceptions to the Zoning Ordinance. The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at Hillsboro Historic City Hall, 127 E. Franklin Street.
