The Planning and Zoning Commission makes studies and project plans for the improvement of the City, with a view toward its future development and extension and recommend to City Council all matters for the development and advancement of the City’s facilities, layout and appearance. The Commission will investigate, consider and report to Council upon the layout or platting of new subdivisions of the City or of property situated within the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. To recommend to the City Council for adoption and promulgation of rules and regulations governing plats and subdivision of land within the corporate limits of the City to promote the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the community, and the safe, orderly and healthful development of the community. Commission is scheduled to meet as need or on the second or fourth Monday of the month.
